The market slowdown seems to have taken a break from the two-wheeler industry
The downfall of the two-wheeler industry seems to have taken a break, at least for the time being. Looking at the sales number of the top 10 two-wheelers in August 2019 we can conclude that fall has kind off stopped in its path. There is finally growth, though a minute one, of 0.03%. A total of 344 more units were sold in August when compared to July this year.
However, the YoY growth, by looking at which everyone cries, is -16.58% which is not too bad. The sales in September can fall MoM because of the 15 day period of Shraadh. But we can surely say that the Month of October will bring smiles on the faces of the manufacturers as most auspicious days Navratri will be in the first week of the tenth month.

Honda Activa saw a slight decline in MoM sales which stood that 2,34,279 units. Hero Splendor saw a steep ride of nearly 19% or about 40,000 more Splendor were sold iN August when compared to July. Hero Deluxe which was the highest-selling motorcycle for two month fell back as Splendor picked up its pace.

Bajaj Pulsar is another brand which saw positive sales number of 13% MoM. Pulsar is also among the one which saw a positive figure in YoY comparison other one is the Suzuki Access which is YoY positive. TVS managed to push 0.20% more Jupiter out of the showrooms in August against July 2019. The XL Super moped sales grew by 9% in the same time period.
