Michelin Road 5 sports touring tyres are now available in India

Michelin has launched its new range of tyres for motorcycles in India. The new Michelin Road 5 radial tyres are an upgrade over Pilot Road 4 tyres from the company. The pilot road 4 had topped the European Sport Touring tyre market with an undisputed benchmark. Now the latest Road 5 is here to enhance the performance of your sportbikes to a new level.

The company claims that a Michelin Road 5 tyre which has clocked more than 5000 km covers less distance under braking in wet conditions than the new Pilot Road 4 tyre. One can clearly say that the new Michelin Road 5 tyres have impeccable grip even under wet road conditions. Not only that, but the Road 5 tyres have a much-improved grip on the dry roads as well as superior stability which is the most important factor for Sport Touring motorcycles.

Michelin Road tyres use latest rubber compounds coupled with dual-compound technology (Michelin 2CT and Michelin 2CT+ technology) as well as a spied tread pattern for superior cornering grip. All in all, these three technologies have helped Michelin to develop Road 5 tyres which will deliver best in class dry and wet weather grip. The internal tests from the company show that these new tyres are far better in terms of performance than its 5 main rivals.

At present, Michelin Road 5 tyres comes in three sizes – 120/70-ZR17 for front and 190/50-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 for the rear. Clearly, the tyres are available only for top-spec sports touring motorcycles as of now. We expect the company to launch more tyres for middleweight and small capacity bikes in the future.

See, there are a lot of things to look at, but you are one hell of a person when your eyes are pulled towards beauty on two wheels. This guy here is one such animal who loves two wheels more than "Maa ke hath ka Khana." Not yet fully transformed into a seasoned rider but still, there are many things still "under construction." Akash is a writer, loves writing fiction but here at motorcycle diaries, its all about the world on two wheels.
