KTM RC 125 price is Rs 1.47 lakh ex-showroom. The bookings are now open, deliveries to start next week
Much to everyone’s surprise, KTM launched the RC 125 in the Indian market. The KTM RC 125 price is Rs 1,47,213 lakh ex-showroom. At this price, the baby RC is Rs 8,000 more expensive than much more powerful R15 V3. Yamaha’s entry-level sports bike carries a price tag of Rs 1.39 lakh ex-showroom. However, the dark knight edition will set you back by 1.41 lakh (still Rs 6,000 cheaper than RC125).
Despite having a small engine, the RC125 is expensive because it has a higher level of components. Showa USD forks with Radially mounted front brake caliper are the most highlighted components. The instrument cluster is same as that of Duke 125, a fully digital screen with a lot of information for the rider. A single channel ABS is also present which promises of better safety while braking.
Powering the new KTM RC125 is a 125cc, liquid-cooled engine. This powerplant pumps out 14.3bhp at 9250rpm and 12Nm torque at 8000rpm. The weight of the bike is slightly higher at 154.2 kg (dry). A 6-speed transmission does the job of power transfer.
KTM RC125 is the cheapest RC in town
RC125 rides of same set of tyres as Duke 125. Front and rear tyres are 110/70 R17 and 150/60 R17 respectively. The bike is built around a trellis frame suspended by 43 mm USD forks up-front and Monoshock at the rear. Seat height is high at 835 mm while the ground clearance is 157 mm.

By looking at the May 2019 sales number of Duke 125 over Yamaha MT-15 wherein Duke 125 outsold MT-15 for the first time. We can expect RC125 to steal some numbers from R15 V3.0 which sold over 5500 units in May 2019. Only time will tell the tale of success of RC125 in the Indian market.
Sumeet Narang, Vice President (Probiking) at Bajaj Auto Ltd. said “KTM motorcycles are built to a purpose of winning performance and handling. It is no different with the RC 125 which will provide a true KTM experience to the motorcycle enthusiast seeking to enter our Supersport world. It carries Moto GP genes from its sibling, the much-celebrated RC16”
You can book your KTM RC125 for a token amount of Rs 5,000 from any of the 470 dealers across India. The deliveries will begin towards the end of June 2019.KTM
