KTM’s explosive middleweight motorcycle to launch in India soon

KTM is all set to drop its middle-weight Duke 790 on Indian shores this year. The design of this bike is done keeping localization in mind. Though 790 Duke will come as CKDinitially. In the future, most of the parts can be manufactured here to reduce costs further. Expect the price of this mean machine to be Rs 7 Lakh ex-showroom.

Here we present you a video in which a rider rides KTM Duke 790 all the up to the summit of Pikes mountain. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an annual car and bike hillclimb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. The total length of the track is 12.42 miles (19.99 km) and has over 156 turns. The participant has to start climbing at 4,720 ft (1,440 m) to the finish line at 14,110 ft (4,300 m), on gradient averaging 7.2%.

Here, Chris Fillmore sets a record of reaching the top in just 10:04:038 in 2018 on a KTM Duke 790 motorcycle.

There are a lot of features on offer on 790 Duke. Everything from TFT instrument cluster, three riding modes, bi-directional-quick-shifter is available. Cornering ABS, Launch Control, Traction Control, and other electronic wizardry will be present. It will be powered by a 799 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine which generates 105 PS @9500 rpm and 86 Nm @8000 rpm. What else do you need?
