Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 will launch in the first week of December 2019
Bajaj Auto has confirmed that the company is ready to launch another premium motorcycle brand in the country. Husqvarna was acquired by the KTM in 2013 and since then everyone expected the company to bring the brand in India. Bajaj delayed the launch because it wanted the Husqvarna bikes to come with BS6 engines instead of now endangered BS4 units.
As per the Pune based company, Husqvarna will be launched in the first week and in the same week, India Bike Week is going to take place. We expect that Bajaj will launch the new brand in the event to start the hype as well as bookings. KTM, on the other hand, will launch the all-new 390 Adventure motorcycle with all the lineup with BS6 engines.

Speaking about the deliveries of Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401, it will begin January 2020 onwards which is not that far. The new exotic looking bikes will be powered by the KTM 390 Duke’s 373cc firecracker of an engine. In BS6 standard, the engine will continue to develop 44bhp and 37Nm torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox which can propel the bike to 100 kmph from zero in about 6 seconds.
Svartpilen 401 is a street naked bike which can be used for highway riding too as it gets an upright sitting position. Vitpilen 401, on the other hand, is an aggressive cafe racer motorcycle with low set clip-on handlebars. In the international markets, these bikes come equipped with spoke wheels while for India, Husqvarna bikes to come with alloy wheels.
