KTM to launch 390 Adventure as well as showcase BS6 lineup

The Austrian performance motorcycle manufacturer, KTM will launch the highly awaited 390 Adventure in the India Bike Week 2019. Not only this, but the company will also showcase its entire BS6 lineup in the event to gather as much publicity as they can. However, not all bikes will be launched in the event, the 250 Duke, 390 Duke and RC 390 will go on sale from 20th December. Only one bike, the 390 Adventure will start deliveries soon after that.

Deliveries of KTM 125 Duke and RC 125 will start in January 2020 while 200 Duke and RC 200 will go on sales from the month of February 2020. Expect anything about Rs 15,000 price hike on the higher displacement models (250 and 390) for the BS6 upgrade and about Rs 8000 to Rs 10,000 on the 125cc and 200cc models.

If you are wondering whether KTM engines will lose power after the BS6 upgrade then we must tell you that the 390 Adventure which waS showcased in the EICMA 2019 had same power figure of 44bhp. So, what we think is that no KTM motorcycle will see a drop in power as KTM is investing a lot for the lower emission upgrade development.

There is a high probability that Bajaj-KTM will showcase Husqvarna twins in the India Bike Week in order to get some hype for the next brand launch. Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 will be launched in India somewhere in the second quarter of 2020. Expect them to carry a premium over the KTM bikes in the Indian market.
