Vespa SXL 150 BS6 will have electronic fuel injection system instead of a carburettor

Italian lifestyle scooter manufacturer Vespa is gearing up to launch its first BS6 scooter in India. The Vespa SXL 150 BS6 will be the flagship product in the new BS6 Indian lineup. At present, the BS4 scooter is priced at Rs 1.08 lakh ex-showroom while the BS6 version with EFI will be priced around Rs 1.20 lakh ex-showroom.

There are few images posted by folks at Autocar India which shows the new Vespa SXL 150 BS6 scooter in matt black colour. External changes are not much to talk about as there are only a few. One can spot a rework on the exhaust muffler as the tip now points downward. We expect the headlight unit to be full-LED one but the image doesn’t clearly show anything like that. The glass seems like the one used for halogen headlamp unit.

The BS4 spec Vespa SXL 150 puts out 10.03hp and 10.9Nm but at present, we are not sure whether BS6 unit will deliver same power or slightly lower down the chart as seen on various BS6 products. The transmission will continue to be the same belt-driven CVT unit.

Not only this but Vespa will update all of its entire range for the Indian market. The Notte and Urban Club variants, which are rather affordable than the SXL variant will also get the EFI system for BS6 compliance.

See, there are a lot of things to look at, but you are one hell of a person when your eyes are pulled towards beauty on two wheels. This guy here is one such animal who loves two wheels more than "Maa ke hath ka Khana." Not yet fully transformed into a seasoned rider but still, there are many things still "under construction." Akash is a writer, loves writing fiction but here at motorcycle diaries, its all about the world on two wheels.
