Benelli Imperiale 400 rivals the Royal Enfield 350cc bikes as well as Jawas

It won’t come to a surprise when we tell you that newly launched smart retro cruiser from the Italian brand has received over 4000 bookings. This sole motorcycle has given the China-owned company a big boost in terms of sales. Benelli’s monthly sales numbers never touched three digits before the launch Imperiale 400 as none of its motorcycles was priced under Rs 2 lakh mark.

Well, it’s not only the price that is attractive but the whole bike itself. Imperiale 400 falls squarely in the category of Royal Enfield 350cc motorcycles which is loved by nearly all the Indians alive. Next Imperiale tackles in the Jawa, not so old and the bikes have yet to pick up the momentum of sales as well as popularity.

This year, Benelli did best on its part by launching affordable middleweight adventure tourers TRK 502 and TRK 502X. These two bikes garnered over 200 bookings for its strong beefy appearance as well as usability. After that came the Leoncino 500 and Leoncino 250. Both the scrambler styled bikes became an instant hit among the motorcycle enthusiasts for their unique looks.

And finally, Benelli Imperiale 400 set everything right for the company. The bike which is a kind of perfect highway tourer when compared to the Royal Enfield in terms of engineering and dynamics. However, heavyweight is a big let-down with 205kg os metal under you.

What will be a concern among the buyers and it is the servicing and maintenance of the bike, as there are only 26 Benelli showrooms across the country. However, Benelli has made it sure that they are working towards increasing the presence to about 100 showrooms in the next couple of years.

One can book the Imperiale 400 for a token amount of Rs 4000 via the dealerships or through online mode.
