Hero Destini 125 launched at Rs 54,650

Hero Destini 125 comes available at a starting price of Rs 54,650 and it carries Hero MotoCorp’s popular i3S technology.

Hero MotoCorp is eager to grab a strong spot in the scooter market as it explores the immense growth potential in the segment, which has been giving leverage to its erstwhile partner and current rival Honda. In an attempt to lure the buyers, Hero MotoCorp has been working on couple of interesting scooters and one of them has been launched in India. Christened as Hero Destini 125, the new scooter sits in the highly in demand premium segment and it bears some first-in-class features as well.

The Hero Destini 125 comes with the brand’s tried and tested i3S technology that saves fuel using idle-stop-start system. Interestingly, this is the first scooter in India to receive such tech and it is available at a starting price of Rs 54,650 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). While the aforementioned price is for the LX variant, the VX one comes priced at Rs 57,500 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Speaking about its style, Hero Destini 125 appears urban and carries lot of chrome bits across exterior. Apart from, that, it gets analog-digital instrument cluster, a comfortable and well cushioned seat, hook at the front, ample space at footboard, USB charger with a generous underseat storage. The scooter also boasts a large and wide taillight, external fuel cap, boot light, remote key etc. It gets telescopic front forks and monoshock absorber at the back. For braking it features drum brakes at both front and rear combined with Combi-Braking System or CBS.

Energy for the Hero Destini 125 comes from a 125cc Energy Boost engine coupled with a CVT. The engine churns out 8.7 bhp of peak power at 6,750 rom and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. Based on the Hero Duet, the Destini 125 offers 9% higher power and 17% increased torque output. The brand hopes to see great response with this new model during this festive season.
