Ducati will have another off-roader in its portfolio on June 12th. All new Hypermotard 950 to enter Indian territory

Ducati India is all set to launch its another model, Hypermotard 950 in the Indian market on June 12. Hypermotard 950 is the updated version of Hypermotard 939 which was discontinued in 2018. 939 was one such model which was nearly sold out in the country as people loved the Italian supermoto.

There are some changes made to the motorcycle and they are not big. However, mechanical as well as chassis is tweaked to pump out more from the bike. Powering the Hypermotard 950 is the same 937cc L-twin engine which did duty on the older 939. The compression ratio has been increased to 13.3:1 from 12.6:1 which caused the power and torque figures to bump up a bit. New output is pegged at 114bhp and 96Nm. The engine is also tweaked to offer almost 80% torque right from 3000rpm. This strong low-end performance will help the motorcycle on the bad terrain.

The SP variants come loaded with top of the line Ohlins suspension which are fully adjustable.

2019 Ducati Hypermotard 950 also comes equipped with a 6-axis IMU unit which does its magic on the Bosch Cornering ABS. The ABS comes with three settings which helps rider on different roads and weather conditions.

The previous model, Hypermotard 939 carries a price tag of Rs 11.17 lakh ex-showroom. 950, on the other hand, is likely to be priced north of Rs 12 lakh mark.

This guy here is one such animal who loves two wheels more than "Maa ke hath ka Khana." Not yet fully transformed into a seasoned rider but still, there are many things still "under construction." Akash is a writer, loves writing fiction but here at motorcycle diaries, its all about the world on two wheels.
