2017-SV650

Suzuki has unveiled its 2017 SV650, middleweight V-twin and updated version of its prior SFV650/Gladius models but has more than 140 components redesigned. The lightweight steel and trellis-style frame reduced straight 15 pounds from its prior version. The fuel tank is 2.5-inches narrower than the 2015 SFV650 but still holds the same amount of gas.

Introduced in 1999, SV650 was the first motorcycle to be introduced with 645 cc V-twin engine. Later supported by the most successful DL650 V-Strom adventure bike with cosmetic changes, new aluminum frame and fuel injection and six years later Suzuki renamed it as SFV650 Gladius with entire design and technology improvisation and now comes the fourth generation with the return to its roots with simple and clear detailing and improvisation.

For 2017, this motorcycle will be an iconic motorcycle that embodies the sporty personality that only a lively, mid-sized V-twin roadster can deliver. The new SV650 ABS has a polished powerplant that provides increased performance with low emissions and outstanding fuel economy, mated to refined trim and lightweight chassis that delivers a sporty, exciting ride. Like its predecessors, the 2017 SV650 promises to have the sparkling performance, style and value that a broad range of riders will enjoy. Also available without ABS.

Peak power is up to 75 horsepower from 71 hp. Depending on road surface conditions, such as wet, loose, or uneven roads, braking distance for an ABS-equipped vehicle may be longer than for a vehicle not equipped with ABS.

The motorbike will hit the showrooms in second quarter of 2016 and the price is not yet disclosed. This motorbike seems to bring a storm in the market with its simple and clean design and fourth generation technology.
