Images of upcoming Naked Gixxer 250 are doing rounds on the internet. Expected to launch in next two months
Suzuki launched the faired sports bike, Gixxer SF 250 in the Indian market a couple of weeks back for Rs 1.71 lakh ex-showroom. The company is now planning to launch a 250cc motorcycle in naker avatar. Naked Suzuki Gixxer 250 will be the next big thing from the company. Along the Gixxer 250, 2019 version of Gixxer 155 will also launch.
We expect Gixxer 250 to be priced around Rs 1.6 lakh ex-showroom. This would make it Rs 10,000 cheaper than the SF 250. In comparison to SF 250, you’ll get more initial acceleration on the naked 250. However, Duke 200 ABS is also available at this price point, but Duke has its own fan following and people who choose Duke actually want only ‘Duke’.
Here you can see some images of naked Gixxer 250 are out on the internet. However, these images show only front left section excluding the headlight assembly. We expect this bike to feature Honda X-Blade type styling. The fuel tank is lifted straight from the SF 250 but with added tank shrouds. Tank pad is also seen, which might be an optional accessory.

Here we have another bike and that is Bajaj Dominar 400. Dominar is also a street naked motorcycle which is will you back by Rs 1.74 lakh ex-showroom. The 400cc Bajaj bike is mainly used for touring purpose but it not a touring motorcycle. Dominar is just another street naked bike with comfortable riding position and powerful engine. Furthermore, Bajaj Dominar 400 offers a lot of value for what you pay for it.
At an expected price of Rs 1.6 lakh ex-showroom, naked Gixxer 250 will prove to be a great street bike but what about Dominar 400 which will offer you 14 more horsepower as well as massive 13 Nm of twisting force?
In my opinion, Suzuki should think about pricing the naked Gixxer 250 near to Rs 1.50 to Rs 1.55 lakh mark. The main advantage Gixxer 250 will have about the fuel efficiency as Dominar 400 barely returns 25 kmpl while a naked 250cc bike will easily give 35 kmpl even in city riding conditions.
