With a state-of-the-art racing kit, MV Agusta F3 800 RC is rare and exotic

MV Agusta, the prestigious Italian superbike manufacturer has launched F3 800 RC superbike in India. The limited edition bike will set you back by Rs 21.99 lakh ex-showroom. Only 6 units are allotted for sale in India.

FE 800RC is available in only one color option and that is triple-tone racing livery. The RC monicker stands for ‘Reparto Corse’ which in turn means Racing Department. All this means that F3 800 RC is the representation of tireless contribution of the ‘Racing Department’ towards cutting of those extra hundredths of seconds from the lap timer on a race track.

Powering the F3 800 RC is the same 798cc, liquid-cooled, in-line triple cylinder engine. This powerplant pumps out striking 153bhp at 13,250rpm and 88Nm of twisting force peaking out at 10,600rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission which comes with Electronic Assisted Shifting (EAS 2.0 up & down).

The triple cylinder track machine tips the scale at just 165 kg (dry) and has a top speed of 240 kmph. Exhaust system is not the regular three pipes design rather a titanium one which is supplied by SC Project.

Speaking about the electronics in the bike, there are 4-maps of Ride-by-Wire system. The traction control system comes with 8 redefined levels which shows how much dedicated the bike is in terms of ride balance. All these electronics are based on the MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System).

The bike is suspended by Marzocchi USD forks at the front and Progressive Sachs monoshock at the rear. Braking force comes from radial monoblock Brembo calipers gripping the twin 320 mm disc at front end and single 220 mm disc and 2-piston calipers does the job at the rear. F3 800 RC rides of sticky tyres from Pirellis with 120/70-ZR17 and 180/55-ZR17 section at front and the rear respectively.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R which is more powerful liter-class superbike is available for Rs 13.99 lakh ex-showroom. Honda CBR 1000RR, on the other hand, is priced at 16.4 lakh ex-showroom. There are other superbikes from Yamaha, BMW, and Ducati you can choose from under this price point. However, for the extra price, you will get a rare and exotic Italian machinery.
