Let’s start this report on Women’s Day Special by saluting women in our life who has the power to Create, Nurture, and Transform. It is a fact that just a decade ago, the racing world was completely dominated by the Male riders. But as you all know, time changes and it changes for good. There are many ways through which Women are entering into the world of Motorcycle Racing. Be it, Track racing, Off-Road Racing or Enduro, Women are present in all types of racing and also making a mark in the world. Here are the inspirations for all budding Women Racers.
Laia Sanz
Laia Sanz is a Thirty year old rider from Spain. 2019 Dakar was her Ninth Dakar Rally. She participated in Dakar this year after recovering from Q Fever and thus she couldn’t train as hard as she would sans the Q Fever. This year she tested her limits and pushed herself back into racing. She said in a statement:
“The goal, normally will be to be among the top 15. But today I am in the unknown, I don’t know what to expect when it comes to sensations. It would be better than I expect, but I want to be very careful this year and ride without a particular objective. All I want is to start the rally in good health.”
