The new suspension setup is a combination of – FSK 145 for front and STX 36 for the rear end. The front Ohlins kit FSK 145 is also available for Honda CBR250R, Yamaha YZF R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300, Kawasaki ER6n, and Honda CB650F. The front Ohlins telescopic forks come with replacement top caps and high-performance rate springs. There is provision for external spring preload adjustment. The maker of the world’s best suspension says that FSK 145 is designed to improve handling and cornering. Braking is also improved somehow with new aftermarket suspension.

The rear suspension kit from Ohlins is STX 36. These are a combination of two performance springs with hydraulic dampers. STX 36 is painted in Ohlins’ signature golden paint. The rear kit is available in emulsion, piggyback or hose variants. One can ask the company about its choice of damping options and length adjustment. STX 36 are best suited for cruisers and cafe racers.

Speaking about the price, the front kit is priced at Rs 18,900 or about 245 Euros. The rear suspension kit will set you back by Rs 75,000 which is about 970 Euros. If you opt for both the kits, you’ll have to shell out Rs 94,000 to get your hands on the aftermarket performance suspension for your beloved 650 Twin motorcycle.

However, it is still unknown when these suspension kits will launch in India. Also, we do not have any idea about their real-world performance on a 650 twin bike, especially in the Indian road conditions.

Whatever is the cost, I really want a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 with Ohlins suspension and Scorpion exhaust. These two things, coupled with K&N performance air filter will get you more out the bikes. My Goodness, slap those rims with Pirelli Diablo Rossos and see the difference around the corners. Waiting for my check.
