Polarity Smart bike will be the fastest electric bike in India
Pune based electric bike manufacturer, Polarity Smart Bikes are gearing up to launch their first product which is an electric-assisted bike. That said, for the very first time, a Polarity electric bike was spotted road testing. The company plans to launch the personal electric mobility platform in late-June 2019. According to viable sources, Polarity is ready with six prototypes which will be launched consecutively.
The electric bike is fueled by Li-ion battery pack which we think will be detachable for ease of charging. Not to mention the fact that the e-bike will follow all FAME-II compliances. We can expect a range of more than 80km range on a single charge. The company claims that this electric bike has a top speed of 100 kmph. Yes, you read that right, it will become the fastest electric bike (with pedals) in the country.
A Brushless DC motor will power the e-bike with a rated power of at least 1 kW. The electric motor will be housed inside the hub of the rear wheel. Battery pack and controller, on the other hand, will be placed inside the covered frame. The frame itself is custom made to suit the product.
Polarity E-Bike will be the latest entrant in the EV segment
Worried about e-bike going out of juice? Well, this one comes with pedal and chain drive so you can pedal your way home to charge the batteries if you run out. It also has regenerative braking which also helps in extending the range through congested city runs.

Potholes and rough roads will be dealt with easily as the electric bike comes with what looks like USD forks up-front and gas-charged shock absorber at the rear. Braking is as strong as the performance of the e-bike. It comes with disc brakes on both front and the rear.
Other features include full-LED lighting and a fully digital instrument cluster.
We expect Polarity to launch this e-bike with a price tag of around Rs 80,000 ex-showroom. The price we quoted justifies all the components in the upcoming electric bike.
