Classic Legends will start Deliveries of Jawa and Forty-Two single Disc from End of February 2019

As everyone knows Jawa announced its re-entry in the Indian Market on 15th November 2018 and started taking booking via the online channel. The online bookings were stopped on 25th December 2018 due to heavy response. Classic Legends says that both Jawa and Forty-Two are sold out till September 2019. Bikes booked through showrooms after 25th December 2018 will be delivered only after September 2019.

Classic Legends initially launched Classic and Forty-Two with single Disc and Single-channel ABS. Prospective buyers when demanded for Dual-channel ABS, Jawa responded positively and launched double disc with Dual-channel ABS on both the models. Dual-channel ABS bikes are dearer by Rs 9000.

Single Disc with Single-channel ABS models will see the light of deliveries by the end of February 2019 whereas Dual-channel ABS equipped bikes will be delivered only from June 2019. The whole is made slow because Mahindra two-wheelers, owner of both Classic Legends and Jawa brand want to produce motorcycles with the highest quality with virtually no issues. Though issues are bound to arise from newly developed motorcycles, Classic Legends are working through sleepless nights to provide unmatched quality.

Jawas will be mostly used for highway touring

Both Jawa and Forty-Two are powered by 293 cc liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine. Power output is rated at 27 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. Engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This Mojo derived engine is tuned for strong mid-range performance as these motorcycles will be used mostly for touring purpose. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear, which is tuned for comfort.

Classic Legends at present offers two motorcycles in India – the Forty-Two and the Jawa, which are priced as:

Forty-Two single disc, Single-channel ABS – Rs 1.55 Lakh
Forty-Two dual disc, Dual channel ABS – Rs 1.63 Lakh
Jawa single disc, Single-channel ABS – Rs 1.64 Lakh
Jawa dual disc, Dual-channel ABS – Rs 1.73 Lakh

All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom, Delhi.
