India Kawasaki recently launched the new Ninja 300 ABS in the competitive and growing 300-400cc segment. The new Ninja 300 ABS comes with new colours and graphics, and has Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) along with slipper and assist clutch. As a part of India Kawasaki’s expansion plan the all new Ninja 300 also gets locally produced parts, hence the price has come down drastically making it available for Rs 2.98lakh (ex showroom Delhi).
Stating for the event, Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors, “As per Kawasaki’s product portfolio Ninja 300 is entry level sports bike. Its been observed that customers start with Ninja 300 and then upgrade to the next class. Therefore, Ninja 300 happens to be our bestselling product in India because of affordable price.”
Ninja 300 is equipped with a liquid-cooled parallel twin cylinder, DOHC and 8 valves engine which has a sky high redline for a twin. The new high-tensile steel frame adds to the chassis stability and the assist and slipper clutch, based on racing technology, acts as both a back-torque limiter and self-servo mechanism that enables a lighter clutch lever pull. Now talking about the interior front the duel headlights like Ninja ZX-10R and wheel design like Ninja ZX-14R indicates styling package is directly related to bigger Ninja supersport models.
‘Make in India’ initiative have served as a competitive advantage for increasing localization. The localization gives us a benefit to set a very competitive price enabling us to offer many new customers an opportunity to enjoy our product and also start experiencing fun of supersports riding.” Now the new Ninja 300 ABS is available in two colour options namely lime green/ebony and candy plasma blue.
Another advantage for early buyers will be the “3 years of unlimited mileage warranty offer”. Kawasaki states this offer will be discontinued without any prior intimation in order to give a worthy benefit to pre-booking customers. Bookings are open and customers can visit their nearest showroom for a closer look.
