Hero Electric kicks off a nation-wide awareness campaign to go electric and reduce air pollution on World Environment Day
India’s largest electric scooter brand, Hero Electric kick-started an environment awareness campaign to go electric. This campaign is very much inspired by the UN (United Nations) mask challenge some time back. The nationwide campaign aims to protect our environment by reducing air-pollution and by leading awareness about the same. Hero Electric stepped forward and encouraged people to plant trees, clean roads as well as using the eco-friendly mode of transportation.
Managing Director of Hero Electric India, Naveen Munjal, took the pledge to #SwitchToElectric and joined the United Nations’s movement to beat air pollution. He was joined by the employees of the company. He also stated that electric mobility is one of the most effective and efficient ways of reducing the carbon footprint in the environment.

This Hero Electric Green campaign is spreading awareness for the use of face buffs while riding petrol powered two-wheelers. This will pose as a reminder to switch to electric two-wheelers to reduce air pollution and protect the environment. There was active participation by the employees, dealers, Hero Electric partners as well as customers.
Naveen Munjal, Managing Director, said, ”World Environment Day is an ideal opportunity for us to understand and acknowledge issues of the environment. Hero Electric took this opportunity to drive public awareness as it aligns with our aim of promoting and providing ‘Zero Pollution’ transportation in the country. This initiative not only brought together existing members of the Hero Electric family but also encouraged other consumers to support a cleaner and greener environment. This Environment Day, we urge everyone to take conscious and definite steps towards a better tomorrow, today.”
The electric scooter maker conducted various activities which focused on encouraging everyone to help environment protection and rejuvenation. This move helped the manufacturer to further spread green awareness about sustainable development and growth.

The company conducted sapling, drawing competitions for children. Over 200 children participated in the event. Furthermore, people were invited to clean the roads, distributed pamphlets, and even hosted an e-rally to spread awareness about air pollution and conservation of the environment in all small and big cities across India.
The consumer engagement activities were organized at Hero Electric’s dealers across major cities. It is reported that more than 5000 Hero Electric customers, employees, children were gathered at the dealerships. The gathered people marched across their respective city participating in local adaptations of the awareness campaign.
