Hero MotoCorp Ltd on Tuesday announced its re-entry into the premium motorcycle segment with Hero Xtreme 200R

Hero Xtreme 200R: Hero has unveiled its own Xtreme 200R that’s based on the theory they showcased in the Auto Expo 2016. The bike includes a 200cc motor and discretionary single-channel ABS. Hero has stated that this brand new bicycle will go on the market by approximately April 2018 and that costs will probably soon be announced closer to the date.

Concerning styling, the Xtreme follows along the lines of this theory with its sharp contrast bodywork and dual-tone images. But there are a number of changes, the tail segment is cleaner and not as bulky and there are a number of little tweaks around. The bike also comes equipped with a brand new digi-analog device cluster. Hero claims it’s redesigned the chair for better ergonomics and relaxation.

Powering this bike is a 199.6cc motor that’s based on the 150cc one found on the Achiever. The motor profits a balancer shaft for additional refinement, which can be a first for a Hero. The Hero Xtreme 200R includes a promised 0-60kph period of 4.6sec and high rate of 114kph. Lately, Hero has stated it’s paid particular focus on developing a fantastic exhaust note.

Hero has also focused on stability and handling whilst creating the 200R it’s distinct steering geometry into the idea bike along with a longer wheelbase. The bike includes a 276mm front disk and a 220mm rear disc, single-channel ABS is an optional extra. Taking good care of suspension responsibilities is a standard 37mm front branch (the largest seen on a Hero thus far) plus also a seven-step adjustable rear shock. The Hero Xtreme 200R includes a kerb weight of 146kg and gas tank capacity of 12.4 liters.

In the unveiling, Malo le Masson, Head Global Product Planning was quoted stating, “2018 is going to be the year of this reshaping of Hero. This reshaping is all about going into sections that the brand does not exist and generating greater excitement”.
