Duke 125 is powered by a 124.7cc liquid-cooled engine which pumps out 14.3 bhp power at 9250 rpm which is the highest among any 125cc motorcycle in India. Speaking about the torque output, it is also healthy at 12 Newton meters and peaks out at 8000 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox does help in power transmission. When the weight of 148 kg is considered, the bike feels a bit on the heavier side which is also reflected on the road.

Performance wise, Duke 125 is quicker than the most 150-160cc bikes which are currently on sales in India. If we talk about the fuel economy, you can expect around 45 kmpl from this little monster. This is yet to be seen whether the bike will achieve similar sales numbers are we have seen with Rs 1.18 lakh price tag.

KTM Bike Price in India: Duke 200 – Rs 1,61,400

Next bike in the KTM Bike price list is Duke 200. This particular motorcycle was the best selling Duke in India until the arrival of Duke 125. When Duke 200 was launch in 2012, it carried a price tag of Rs 1.18 lakh. Now with multiple price hikes and single-channel ABS as standard, Duke 200 will set you back by Rs 1.61,400 ex-showroom. There is an increase of Rs 2250 which in my opinion is not a big deal, just 1.4%.

A single cylinder, liquid-cooled 199.5cc engine powers the Duke 200, which develops maniac level 25 bhp power and 19.2 Nm torque. The engine is high revving and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with short gear ratios. Performance is so quick that you will find it difficult to keep up with gear shifting in this pocket rocket.

In the year 2017, KTM decided to reduce the gap between 200cc and 390cc Duke by introducing a newly developed 250cc Duke in the Indian market. However, Duke 250 did not sell as the company wanted it to be but this motorcycle has its own charm.

Speaking of the price, Duke 250 was updated with dual-channel ABS and its price increased by Rs 14,000. Now another hike in the price left the price settling at Rs 1,96,700 ex-showroom. Duke 250 saw a hike of Rs 3,250 which turns out to be Rs 4,000 more on-the-road pricing.

Performance on this quarter-liter naker madness is class apart as the bike does 0 to 100 under 9 seconds and has a top whack of 142 kmph. The seat is a bit on a higher side at 830 mm and short riders will find it difficult to access it. Weighing in at 161 kg makes it feel light while keeping power output into consideration.

KTM Bike Price in India: KTM Duke 390 – Rs 2,47,800

The real beast is here. The Duke 390 is one of the most powerful motorcycles in the Indian market under Rs 2.5 lakh. The recent price hike has brought its price to Rs 2,47,800 ex-showroom. Duek 390 sees the second highest hike in the KTM lineup at Rs 4250. That said, Duke 390 is still a motorcycle which delivers best in class value for your money.

New Royal Enfield 650 twins bikes have unsettled the sales of Duke 390 as they have a parallel twin 650cc engine churning out 47 bhp and 52 Nm torque. You have to pay around Rs 15,000 more for the Interceptor 650, period.

At the heart of Duke 390 is a 373cc single cylinder engine. The liquid-cooled motor belts out insane 44 bhp at 9000 rpm and 37 Nm torque at 7000 rpm. Now keep this in mind, Duke 390 is so powerful that you risk flipping over on opening the throttle wide in the first gear.

Old generation Duke 390 (2013) was outright insane

One of the best features of this motorcycle is a colorful display with Bluetooth connectivity option. There is no need to carry additional smartphone holder for navigation purpose. And guys, if someone asks you about the fuel economy of Duke 390, just say you don’t mind it. City mileage is around 20-25 kmpl and 390 Duke can deliver a little more on the highways. A tankful of fuel can take you up to 340 km before the next fuel station stop.

This Duke has ride-by-wire technology for instant throttle response and better power delivery. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox which propels 390 to 100 kmph from standstill in 6 seconds and tops out at 165 kmph. That kind of acceleration timing you will get from a half a crore sports car.

KTM Bike Price in India: KTM RC 200 – Rs 1,89,990

Coming on to the super sports bikes from the house of KTM. The RC200’s price has been hiked by Rs 2,250 which is a modest amount. The new price tag is Rs 1,89,990 which is still less than Honda CBR 250R. Never mind, that was a touch of sarcasm for Honda. Sigh!

KTM Bike Price in India: RC 200 is quicker than R15 V3

KTM RC 200 derives its propulsion force from the same 200cc engine which does duty on Duke 200. Here, the engine is tuned a bit differently to deliver maximum performance on a race track. The powerplant pumps out 25.1 bhp and 19.2 Nm torque and coupled with a light dry weight of just 137 kg, this race competition bike is a charm.

Performance, as we speak, is spirited on RC200 100 kmph is achieved under 10 seconds and top speed is around 140 kmph. One gripe for out of city riding is its small fuel tank of 10 liters. There will be a lot of fuel stops if you plan to tour on this one. The riding posture is fully committed for track riding and you will find it difficult to ride on highways.

KTM Bike Price in India: KTM RC 390 – Rs 2,43,490

Another Super Sports RC 390 gets a price hike of Rs 3250 and now the new price tag is Rs 2,43,490 ex-showroom. This price makes it Rs 20,000 more than the TVS Apache RR310.

My only gripe with this machine is dated digital display.
