KTM 790 Adventure To Be Unveiled At EICMA 2017

KTM 790 Adventure: It is bad news and very good news for experience motorcycle fans in India. KTM is set to take the wraps away from the 790 Adventure motorcycle. The bicycle was spotted testing in 2016, of hitting the streets in 18, with talks. The KTM 790 Duke roadster will be released first and followed with the 790 Adventure following a year possibly.

The KTM 790 Adventure will get the same 800 cc parallel twin engine which also does duty on the 790 Duke. KTM has not released details but we believe that the energy output will be equivalent or longer than 100 bhp and the bike will go up against the likes of the Africa Twin and the Triumph Tiger 800.

KTM 790 Adventure

The KTM 790 Adventure will find LED headlamp, twin fuel tanks, an LCD instrument console, a wheel front along with an 18-inch wheel at the rear. Of course, the bicycle will be shod with road-biased tires and off-road ones as well. The road-going version of the bicycle might get a bigger 19-inch wheel up front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear. Needless to say, the bike will have a flat monoshock along with the long-travel suspension. There will be electronic rider assists in the form of ABS, riding modes and traction control.

The good thing is that the 790 Adventure will not be coming to India. While more and more premium bicycle manufacturers consider India as a growing market for performance bicycles, KTM has restricted its own product portfolio ranging from 200 CC to 400 CC, despite the fact that KTM has several interesting performance motorcycles in its portfolio.
