Bajaj recently updated Pulsar 220F and Avenger 220 with single channel ABS. With Pulsar 150, 180, 160NS are still waiting to be updated with ABS and here we see one more entrant, the Pulsar 180F, yes you heard that right, Bajaj is about to launch Faired version of Pulsar 180.

As you can see, the Bajaj Pulsar 180F will feature the same fairing as that of 220F but the exhaust muffler will remain same as that of regular Pulsar 180. Pulsar 180F will be offered in three variants, Neon, Classic, and Twin Disc. The bike will receive single-channel ABS to keep the price competitive. The faired version of Pulsar 180 will be just Rs 2500 more than the regular one. The ABS though will increase the price by another Rs 6000 to Rs 7000.

Bajaj Pulsar 180F will be powered by same age-old 178.6 cc single cylinder engine. The motor is good for 17 bhp@8500 rpm and 14.2 Nm @6500 rpm. The engine will be mated to the regular 5-speed gearbox. The weight of Pulsar 180F will see an increase and is bound to touch 150 Kg mark. Currently, the bike weighs 145 Kg.

There was a time when college going students used to dream about owning a faired motorcycle and that dream bike was mostly Pulsar 220F. The loud growl and raw power was the center of attraction. I could recall many instances where Pulsar 150 and 180 were seen converted into faired motorcycles with the use of Pulsar 220F fairing. Now Bajaj has listened to the prayers of those who desired a faired Pulsar which would deliver a higher fuel efficiency than Pulsar 220F. No doubt, Pulsar 180F will deliver better mileage and one can see a higher top speed due to better aerodynamics.

Bajaj Pulsar 180F will be priced under Rs 90,000 ex-showroom for Non-ABS variant and near about Rs 93,000 ex-showroom for single-channel ABS. This will undercut the price of Pulsar 220F ABS by nearly Rs 12,000.
