Yamaha MT09 Price in India is Rs 10.55 Lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. The motorcycle was first launched in 2017 with a price tag of Rs 10.88 Lakh. A few months later, the CBU import duties were reduced which caused the price of Yamaha MT09 to saw a huge cut of Rs 1.3 Lakh. The ex-showroom price then became Rs 9.5 Lakh. As everyone knows, the Rupee has taken a deep dive against the US Dollar in the last two years, the price was increased again to Rs 10.4 Lakh. And now the final update in the price has brought up to Rs 10.55 Lakh.
The front fascia of 2019 Yamaha MT09 features a twin-eye LED headlights which are quite attractive. The radical design of motorcycle demands attention. The bike offers hell lot of tech – Fully Adjustable Front Forks, Traction Control, Dual-Channel ABS to name a few. Quick Shift System is present for hyper-fast gearshifts and Slipper Clutch for unimaginable control while decelerating. One can change the engine power delivery from mild to aggressive with help of 3-position D-mode function.

Yamaha MT09 – Engine
The Hooligan of a Bike gets its power from an in-line three-cylinder engine displacing 847 cc. There are 4-valves per cylinder in the head actuated by DOHC setup. The powerplant churns out 115 bhp @10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm @8500 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The compression ratio of the bike is pretty high at 11.5:1. Broke and Stroke, on the other hand, measures 78 mm and 59.1 mm respectively. Seat Height stands at 820 mm and Fuel Tank Capacity is 14 Liters. I would not like the low Ground Clearance of just 135 mm on the Indian Roads.
Yamaha MT09 – Chassis and Suspension
Speaking about the chassis, 2019 Yamaha MT09 is held together by a Diamond Chassis. The front suspension is fully adjustable 41 mm USD Forks with 137 mm travel whereas the rear suspension is Link Type Monoshock with 130 mm travel. Braking Duties are performed by Dual 298 mm Discs at the front and single 245 mm Disc at the Rear. Front and Rear tyres are 120/70-ZR17 M/C and 180/55-ZR17 M/C respectively.

Well, talking about the competition, the 2019 Yamaha MT-09 goes up against the likes of the Triumph Street Triple S which is priced at Rs 9.19 Lakh and the Kawasaki Z900 which carries a price tag of Rs 7.68 Lakh, all prices are ex-showroom.
