Bangalore based electric vehicle manufacturer, Ultraviolette will unveil its first electric bike, the F77 in the Indian market on the 13th day of the month of November. We expect the prebookings to start on the date of unveiling and deliveries to start after a month or two maybe in January 2020. The price this bike would carry will be around Rs 2 lakh mark as F77 will feature a powerful 24kW motor along with bigger and energy-dense battery pack.

TVS Motor Company has a stake of 25% in the Ultraviolette Automotive after the Chennai based manufacturer injected funds into the startup last year. Speaking about the design, we expect the Ultraviolette to feature a full faired design with full LED headlight. It will also feature LED taillight and turn indicators for a premium look. However, the continuous maximum power will be in the vicinity of 25bhp. The company claims a 0-60 kmph acceleration time of 3 seconds which is really quick in its own terms. Torque at the rear wheel is pegged at 450Nm which is massive for an electric bike.

There will a TFT instrument cluster with all sort of connectivity features. The rest of the components will be of street spec – USD forks, Monoshock at the rear, Disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The final drive employs a chain drive which will attract low maintenance. Ultraviolette will launch a sporty electric scooter after the F77 is on sale.
