Tork Motors introduced the country with T6X in 2016 but did not deliver the bikes to the customers as they were rigorously testing the electric bike for better reliability. Bharat Forge also joined Tork Motors as a strategic partner in 2018. Now their first electric bike T6X is nearly ready for deliveries and will be launched in Pune first before arriving in Bangalore.
Tork T6X will be targetted at the commuters who don’t like the idea of electric scooters. The T6X is powered by a DC motor with 6kW peak power. The top speed is rated at 100 kmph.
The range is 100 km per charge and, wait for it, the battery pack can be charged 80% in just 1 hour. The battery pack is 3.456 kWh – 48 Volts and 72 Ah capacity. The battery pack is designed to last for 1000 cycles which are real-world time frame is nearly 3-4 years. Headlight and tail lights are full LED units.

The bike gets 4.3-inch digital instrument cluster which can be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth. It will offer all the details about the bike like – Charge, Range, riding modes, turn-by-turn navigation. Also, your travel data can be saved over the cloud which can be later accessed through the Tok Motors mobile app.
Tork T6X is kept in place with a custom made trellis frame. Suspension duties are performed by front telescopic forks and spring loaded hydraulic damper at the rear. The electric bike rides on 80/100-17 and 110/80-17 section front and rear tyre respectively. Braking is achieved by 267 mm front disc brake and 220 mm rear disc. T6X has a seat height of 785 mm and a decent 160 mm ground clearance.
We will get to see the motorcycle in the flesh once it is launched in the country in the near future. Since Roy Kurian joined, we can expect better driving direction for Tork Motors as they will now be able to use the guide of this automobile veteran.
