Yamaha has launched the much-awaited motorcycle, FZ version 3 in India with a price tag of Rs 95,000

Yamaha has kick-started the year 2019 with the launch of its FZ series version 3.0 motorcycles in India. The price for FZ-FI ABS is Rs 95,000 ex-showroom, Delhi. FZS-FI ABS is available at Rs 97,000. The price is an additional of Rs 13000 over the base variant of FZ V2.0 which is priced at Rs 82,000 ex-showroom, Delhi.

The rear disc and single-channel ABS is now standard for both the bikes. The design of bikes has received a lot of transformation then the previous version. The bikes are looking more muscular than before. The front end of the Fuel tank sport faux air inlet vents of either side. The seats are now back to the single piece, ditching split seat configuration on Version 2.0.

The rear part of FZ-FI version 3.0 has received a change in bodywork as well as gets a new tail light. New LED headlight setup looks cool following the design language of FZ-25. The street fighter motorcycle also gets an updated instrument cluster which looks better but serves the same purpose.

On the mechanical side, bike retains the older air-cooled and fuel-injected 149 cc mill. The powerplant pumps out same numbers though, 13.2 bhp @8000 rpm and 12.8 Nm @6000 rpm. The single-channel ABS is made by Bosch.

FZ-25 and Fazer 250 also receives ABS

During the launch event, Mr. Motofumi Shitara, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of companies said, “The excitement of The Call of the Blue continues with the launch of new FZ-FI and FZS-FI with ABS in India today as a part of its offering of extraordinary motorcycling experiences from Yamaha. Following the outstanding response from YZF-R15 Version 3.0 launched in the last year, the company is confident to further create a niche in the 150 cc segment with the new FZ-FI and FZS-FI. The new launch from Yamaha will strengthen the company’s presence in the deluxe class in India.”

The excitement was further elevated by the launch of ABS-equipped FZ-25 and Fazer 25. FZ-25 gets a price tag of Rs 1.33 Lakh whereas Fazer 25 is priced at Rs 1.43 Lakh both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Both 250 cc bikes get Bosch’s dual-channel ABS like that of YZF R15 V3.0. On the mechanical front, both these bikes retain there 249 cc fuel-injected air & oil-cooled engine. Power is rated at 20.5 bhp @8000 rpm and Torque output is 20 Nm @6000 rpm.
