Hero HF Deluxe BS6 Motorcyclediaries

Hero HF Deluxe BS6 gets EFI which makes it expensive by Rs 7,300

India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has launched the BS6 version of the HF Deluxe commuter motorcycle in the Indian market. The Hero HF Deluxe BS6 comes in two variants, base and i3S. The base variant is priced at Rs 55,925 and the i3S variant will set you back by Rs 57,250 ex-showroom.

There is a hike of almost Rs 7,300 on both the variants of Hero HF Deluxe due to the addition of an electronic fuel injection system. The company claims that the new bike returns 9% more fuel efficiency along with 6% faster acceleration. That said, expect new HF Deluxe to run extra 2 kilometres for same 1-litre fuel.

Powering the HF Deluxe BS6 is an air-cooled 100cc engine with two-valve head. This motor develops slightly lesser power of 7.94bhp down from 8.36bhp in the BS4 version. The torque, however, remains same at 8.05Nm but is peaked at a higher 6000rpm. The engine is paired to a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox.

The bike rides on tubeless tyres fitted on silver colour alloy wheels. Front suspension is regular telescopic forks and at the rear is dual shock absorbers.

As said earlier, the new HF Deluxe BS6 also comes with Hero’s own i3S technology. i3S is basically a smart start-stop system employed by the company to ensure people do not waste fuel on the red traffic lights. The system shuts down the engine after 5 seconds of idle time and ignites it back with a slight pressing of the clutch.

Hero HF Deluxe BS6 gets two new colour schemes – Techno Blue, Heavy Grey with Green. Speaking about the rivalry, the new HF Deluxe BS6 will tackle the likes of Bajaj CT100 and TVS Sport which are yet to receive BS6 upgrade.

See, there are a lot of things to look at, but you are one hell of a person when your eyes are pulled towards beauty on two wheels. This guy here is one such animal who loves two wheels more than "Maa ke hath ka Khana." Not yet fully transformed into a seasoned rider but still, there are many things still "under construction." Akash is a writer, loves writing fiction but here at motorcycle diaries, its all about the world on two wheels.
