Recently Hero announced that it is hiking the price of its complete lineup. Now here we have two fresh price hike in Hero’s portfolio. Hero Xtreme 200S which was launched in the market just recently saw a hike of Rs 900. Xtreme 200S, which is a spiritual successor to the much loved Karizma from Hero’s stable, is one of best fully-faired motorcycle under Rs 1 lakh. Why do we say that? Because it has got everything you need at a very reasonable price tag. From fully faired body to feature-packed instrument cluster and single-channel ABS.

Another bike which received a price hike is Hero Xtreme 200R. The bike had received a hike in the month of April where Rs 1,000 were added to its ex-showroom price. Now another hike of Rs 1,000 is given. The Ex-showroom price of Xtreme 200R now stands at Rs 91,900. Xtreme 200R was launched last year at a price of Rs 89,900 which was just Rs 7,000 more than the Xtreme Sports 150cc bike.

Powering both the bikes is an air-cooled, 200cc, single-cylinder engine with 2-valve head. This powerplant makes 18.1bhp at 8000rpm and 17.1Nm torque at 6500rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a claimed top speed of 114 kmph. The performance might feel less for a 200cc motorcycle but it actually better than the rest of the 150-160cc bikes in the same price range.

We might see a price hike of newly launched XPulse 200 bikes, but we are still not clear about them. Increased manufacturing cost and raw material cost has been blamed for this hike in the prices.
