This past year the Motrac 800V cruiser was shown as a concept bike and now it seems like the production version is going to be revealed.

The bike is very likely to appear at the CIMA show in Chongqing on Friday, and two pictures of it have emerged in on the web in China. The design closely matches the first Motrac 800V concept model but reveals the bike with panniers fitted. The web page of motor provider GK-Engine, or Gaokin Industry, shows the very first images and details of this machine.

The GK release claims that the bicycle is the first domestic Chinese 800cc cruiser and clarifies several details concerning it. Torque is 72Nm in 5000rpm.

The bike’s release date is given as September this year, which surely points at the CIMAMotor series.

A Delphi fuel injection system provides the gas and there is a six-speed transmission using a chain final drive.

Given the usual manner that Chinese firms operate, it is likely that GK will sell the motor as a standalone unit. This opens the door to more companies to create bicycles around it. GK-Engine states that it has already achieved 300 hours of endurance bench testing. Additionally, it has been start-tested over 30,000 times and undergone tests down to -30°C. It is promised to achieve Euro IV emissions limits, also.

Bigger version coming, too
Interestingly, it is not the biggest engine that the firm offers. There is also a 1000cc version of the engine (left). Again it’s Euro IV compliant.
