The ‘Jyada ka Fayada’ scooter comes in different variant to satisfy everyone’s taste. There is basic Jupiter, ZX, Disc variant, Classic, as well as recently launched Grande edition. Price starts from Rs 53,000 and goes all the way up to Rs 62,000 something for the Bluetooth connectivity equipped Jupiter.

Yamaha Ray ZR – Rs 54,881
Next scooter is from the house of Yamaha. The Yamaha Ray ZR is a spiritful and playful scooter which is powered by 110cc engine. There are basically four Ray models available for purchase. Ray Z, Ray ZR, Ray ZR Monster Energy edition and top of the line Ray ZR Street Rally edition.
The base model with steel wheels and drum brake is priced at just Rs 51,747 ex-showroom. Street Rally edition will set you back by Rs 59,500 ex-showroom Delhi.

Honda Activa 5G – Rs 54,911
India’s largest selling scooter, Honda Activa 5G, no doubt had to make entry into the best scooters under 60000 list. In a month, the scooter sells as much as every other scooter combined. Activa 5G special limited was launched a couple of months back to keep the vehicle fresh and also to clear the hefty stocks at the dealerships.
The main USP of the Honda Activa is the word of mouth as well as the lowest service cost an added advantage of strong resale value. Body panels are made of metal hence the life of scooter is long if not met in any serious accident. However, Activa still uses age-old suspension unit and is expected to feature telescopic forks in BS6 edition.
Yamaha Fascino – Rs 56,023
The blue racing machine maker, Yamaha has another trick up its sleeve. The Yamaha Fascino is a classic looking modern scooter you can have in your garage. The scooter takes cues from the likes of Vespa but is not made on a monocoque chassis.
The instrument cluster is also designed with a retro theme in mind. It is powered by the same 110cc engine that does duty on the Ray ZR. At present, there are two variants of the scooter which is available on sale – Basic and Dark Knight edition.

Honda Aviator – Rs 56,537
If you are looking for something which holds strong resale value as well as provides premium feel unlike Activa, then Honda Aviator is your perfect choice. Aviator is in the best scooters under 60000 list due to the following factors. It comes with telescopic forks at the front with an option of alloy wheels and front disc brake unit.
The downside of the Aviator is that unlike Activa, there is no option for the semi-digital instrument cluster and only comes with analogue unit. If Honda decided to bring a BS6 variant of the Aviator, then one can expect a new instrument cluster as well.
Suzuki Access 125 – Rs 57,909
Access 125 is one of the only two 125cc scooters present in this list. Suzuki is counting on the Access to drive its sales and achieve better market share. Other bikes from Suzuki doesn’t sell as much as Access 125 manages alone.

Suzuki Access 125 is one hell of a practical scooter for the Indian families. The spacious footboard, elegant design, powerful yet fuel-efficient 125cc engine. Access is available in three variants – Steel wheels, Alloy wheels, and Alloy-Disc variant. CBS is present in all the variants as per new safety norms.
TVS Ntorq 125 – Rs 58,872
TVS Ntorq is the most expensive scooter in this best scooters under 60000 list. Starting from Rs 58,872 ex-showroom Delhi, the Ntorq Race edition is available for Rs 62,995 ex-showroom. Main USP of the Ntorq is phenomenal design language and sporty nature. It is powered by a 3-valve 125cc engine which offers brilliant performance right from the word go.
Currently, the sporty scooter comes in three variants, the cheapest one is the one equipped with drum brake, next we have a model with disc brake. Most expensive model is recently launched Race edition.
