New Suzuki Access 125 BS6 to feature electronic fuel injection with few other features

Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki has unveiled the all-new Suzuki Access 125 BS6. The 125cc scooter will go on sale in January 2020. As of now, the company have not revealed the price of the Access 125 but as well all know, it will cost about Rs 8,000 more than the carbureted BS4 version.

Speaking about the features, the BS6 version of the Access 125 will come loaded with external fuel filling, LED headlight, digital display with more information like Eco mode and battery voltage. Practicality will be enhanced due to a longer seat and spacious footboard which can accommodate more cargo. The under-seat storage volume will be greater than before. Suzuki Access 125 will come with an easy start system. There will also be a special edition of the model which will feature USB charging socket as a standard component.

Coming to the engine, the scooter will continue to use the same 125cc single-cylinder engine but the fuel will be fed by an electronic fuel injection system. This new BS6 compliant engine develops 8.7bhp at 6750rpm but a lower torque output of 10Nm at 5500rpm. The BS4 Access 125 produces 8.7bhp at 7000rpm and 10.2Nm torque at 5000rpm.

As you can notice, the power and torque curve has completely changed to make engine emit lesser toxic gases. In the BS4 engine maximum power is produced at 7000rpm whereas the rpm fell to 6750 in the BS6 engine. The peak torque has been reduced but is developed at higher 5500rpm instead of 5000rpm seen on the BS4 unit.

Starting price of the Suzuki Access 125 BS6 will fall in the range of Rs 66,000 to Rs 67,000 ex-showroom.
