Kawasaki teased a new Z series motorcycle with supercharger

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, Kawasaki has posted a teaser video which shows graphics of a supercharger followed by ‘Z’ shaped green zip lines. This clearly indicates that the company is working on a new supercharged motorcycle. However, this time it won’t be a fully-faired track machine but a naked streetfighter.

At present, Kawasaki sells its supercharged H2 and H2R all over the globe. In India, the Ninja H2 range starts from Rs 21.8 lakh ex-showroom to Rs 72 lakh. Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX is priced at Rs 21.8 lakh and H2 SX SE will set you back by Rs 26.80 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The SX range is made for highway touring whereas the H2 range of bikes is purpose-built track machines.

The 200 horsepower supercharged Ninja H2 is available for purchase at a price tag of Rs 34.5 lakh ex-showroom. This super sports bike is street-legal and can be ridden on the roads too. However, Kawasaki is also offering H2R in India which pumps our massive 322bhp and 165Nm torque. H2R is a track-only bike and is priced at Rs 72 lakh ex-showroom. Let us tell that H2R’s service time is not in no of km done but in hours!

We are expecting that Naked Z series of bikes will have two variants, one which develops less power and is street legal and another ‘R’ version made only for enclosed tracks. It is highly likely that the supercharged Kawasaki Z series bike can be unveiled in this year’s EICMA in November.
