Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro is going to be a more off-road capable brother of road-going Multistrada 1260

The Indian arm of Italian exotic bike maker is gearing up to launch another adventure tourer in India. The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro will land on Indian shores on 9th July 2019. This is another off-road focused motorcycle to be launched by Ducati after Scrambler range of bikes and Hypermotard 950.

At one end if we look at the Multistrada 1260, it feels to be everything in its own sense. 1260 is one of the best adventure tourer motorcycles when we speak of road touring. To take things forward and off the road, Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro comes on top of that. The Enduro 1260 was first launched in the western market in 2016 and now India will get an updated version of it.

Speaking about the engine, it is the same motor which does duty on 1260. 1262cc Testastretta DVT engine pumps out 158bhp at 9500rpm and 128Nm of twisting force at 7500rpm. The numbers are high enough to move hefty 256 kg motorcycle without any peck of lethargy. Power is transferred to the rear tyre via a 6-speed gearbox assisted by two-way Ducati Quick Shifter (DQS).

Without any doubt, there is a truckload of electronics on this motorcycle. There is Ducati Traction Control (DTC), 6-axis IMU, cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and more. an option of four riding modes is also given to choose from. In terms of the instrument cluster, a 5-inch full-color display takes the seat in the cockpit.

It is expected that the price of Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro will lie north of Enduro 1200 which is priced at 18.03 lakh ex-showroom. On the battleground is BMW R1250 GS Adventure and Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX in the same price range.
