Triumph Thuxton RS teaser Motorcyclediaries

New Triumph Thruxton RS teaser is out and will uncover on 5h November 2019

Triumph India has uploaded a teaser video on social media about the new Thruxton RS cafe racer motorcycle. In the video, the side panel proudly shows the bold Thruxton RS badge. The new cafe racer will be positioned above the existing Triumph Thruxton R currently on sale in India at a price tag of Rs 12.16 lakh ex-showroom.

As of now, the Thruxton R is regarded as the most fun to ride cafe racer. What makes this bike a real hoot to ride is the grippy Pirelli tyres, radially mounted Brembo calipers, Showa front USD forks, and Ohlins monoshock at the rear. Thruxton RS, on the other hand, will feature even exclusive components along with an engine pumping out more power and torque than the one propelling Thruxton R.

The engine in question is the liquid-cooled 1200cc parallel twin motor from the Thruxton TFC edition which was belting out 107bhp and 115Nm. A lot of things are re-engineered in the 1200cc engine which made it lighter by about 5 kilos. Redesigned intake and exhaust ports, lighter crankshaft, high compression pistons, new cam profile among others.

The Thruxton RS might come with special color schemes along with all the new bells and whistles. We expect the price of Triumph Thruxton RS will cost a bit more than the Thruxton R or replace the existing cafe racer altogether. Everything will be revealed once the British manufacturer unveils the souped-up cafe racer on 5th November 2019.
