KTM dealers are accepting unofficial bookings of the 390 Adventure for a token amount of Rs 20,000
The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer unveiled the 390 Adventure in EICMA 2019 in front of whole world. In India, the adv was showcased at the India Bike Week in the first weekend of December 2019. That said, KTM 390 Adventure deliveries to start from the first month of the last year of the decade. And not only that, KTM dealers across the country are taking unofficial bookings of the adventure motorcycle for a token amount of Rs 20,000.
If you are concerned about the pricing, the KTM 390 Adventure will come with a price tag of Rs 3 lakh ex-showroom. The price is quite high because the adventure bike will feature BS6 engine, long-travel suspension, Metzeler Tourance dual-purpose tires, cornering ABS as well as switchable traction control system. All these additional equipment will easily touch the Rs 3 lakh mark.
The 390 Adventure was showcased with Continental TKC 70s tires in EICMA 2019 but in India, it will come with Metzeler Tourance tyres instead.
Powering the 390 Adventure is the same 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that powers the 390 Duke. This motor pumps out 44bhp and 37Nm torque despite being a BS6 compliant unit. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with exactly same gear ratios as seen on the 390 Duke. However, adv being heavier than the Duke, initial acceleration might be a bit lesser.
Other than this, KTM will also start delivery of its entire BS6 range by February 2020 a whole month before the implementation of BS6 emission norms.
