Honda CB Shine

Honda CB Shine has registered 108,790 units of sales figure in August 2018.

Honda CB Shine is the highest selling 125cc bike in India and it has registered the highest ever sales number with 108,790 units in August 2018, compared to 94,748 units in same month last year. The bike contributed significantly in Honda’s total sales and gave the Japanese brand a 6% hike in market stake to 52% in the 125cc segment in April-August 2018 period. The number is likely to grow significantly during upcoming festive season.

The second biggest two-wheeler manufacturer in India aims to grab the pole position by 2020 and Honda CB Shine could play key role in that strategy, as far its current performance indicates. Interestingly, Honda is the only two-wheeler manufacturer in India that has experienced YTD sales growth in 125cc category. This motorcycle has also became the only executive bike to cross 1 lakh sales mark for the third time.

Interestingly, Honda has seen its 125cc motorcycles’ sales grown by 14% from 432,984 to 495,315 units in this year. This happened when the industry remained flat with 945,633 units sales in April to August 2018 period. The CB Shine and CB Shine SP both contributed largely to this success of the Japanese brand.

Speaking about this success, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, the senior vice president of sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, achieving this record ahead of festive season gives the brand high confidence to further consolidate its leadership in the 125cc segment. Premium styling, higher comfort, trusted performance have played important role behind the CB Shine’s success.
