TVS Apache RTR 200 4V with Bluetooth connectivity launched for Rs 1,14,345

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V now gets TVS’ SmartXonnect Bluetooth technology. New TVS Apache RTR 200 4V SmartXonnect is priced at RS 1,14,345 ex-showroom, Delhi. This tech was first featured on the Ntorq 125 sports scooter followed by Jupiter Grande. Now, the Bluetooth tech comes for the first time in the Apache range. At, present, the Bluetooth connectivity is present in the 200cc variant and we expect TVS to launch the same feature in the Apache RTR 160 4V.

Speaking about the special features available with the SmartXonnect, there is Lean Angle Mode, Tour Mode, Navigation, Race Telemetry, and Crash Alert. One can also access turn by turn navigation on the instrument cluster after connecting it to the smartphone. The connection can be established via SmartXonnect smartphone app available for both Android and iOS.

The new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will now come with a connected cluster and gold-finished racing chain. Apart from the special connected features, you will also get Tour Mode and Call/SMS notifications.

Lean angle mode will calculate the lean angles during cornering via the gyroscopic sensors of the rider’s phone. Race telemetry is a term used to display all the ride data after the ride is over. The Race telemetry will provide minute details of each and every ride you take on the new Apache RTR 200 4V. These data include average speed, gear shifting pattern, distance covered and much more.

The Crash alert system is a very important feature as it will get activated will the bike senses a fall. This system will send messages with the crash location to the emergency contacts of the rider. All this will happen within 180 seconds if rider doesn’t pick up the bike again. This mode will be of great help if the rider happens to meet with grave injuries.

Powering the Apache RTR 200 4V is an air-cooled, 197.75cc engine with a 4-valve head. This powerplant generates 20.1bhp at 8500rpm and 18.1Nm twisting force at 7000rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Apache 200 4V does 0-100 kmph in 12 seconds with a top speed of 129 kmph.

At present, only the Hero XPulse 200 and 200T, as well as Xtreme 200S, comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity features. TVS Apache 200 4V becomes the second bike to get the feature.
