Okinawa Lite gets only 250 Watt motor with 25 kmph top-speed
Gurugram based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa has launched yet another budget electric scooter in the country. The Okinawa Lite is launched at a price tag of Rs 59,999 which is made for the children as well as elderly for its slower pace and lightweight. The company is calling its new scooter as ‘One for all.’
Okinawa Lite is powered by a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) electric motor which also happens to be waterproof. This motor is paired to a pack of Lithium-ion cells which holds up to 1.25 kWh of electric power. The battery pack is detachable and also comes with an anti-theft mechanism. When the throttle is given, the Lite will achieve a top speed of 25 kmph and will provide a range of 50 to 60 km under normal riding conditions.

Okinawa Lite has a climbing limit of 7 degrees and has a loading capacity of 150 kg. That means two fully grown adults can ride the scooter and still climb a gradient of 7 degrees. Great. Lite comes with front disc brake and rear drum for cost-effectiveness. The seat height is low at 740mm which is good for all kind of riders – from a school going kid to a senior citizen.
Coming to the practicality, the Okinawa Lite has a regenerative braking system which will help in conserving some power on the go. There is a 17-litre underseat storage which is useful for keeping stuff. The ground clearance stands at 160mm which won’t scratch the speed breakers in our country. Headlight comprises of LED projector lamp with LED DRLs.
Feature list a long one on the Okinawa Lite with one push start button (Why we need it on an electric scooter in the first place?), Auto handle lock function, auto motor lock, digital instrument cluster, hazard lights, 12-volt mobile charging port and more.
The Lite comes with a 3-year warranty on both battery and motor which will certainly give you peace of mind. Okinawa is also providing Road Side Assistance for the Lite electric scooter.
