Jawa Perak Motorcyclediaries

Jawa Perak will be the most affordable bobber in the country with a price tag of Rs 1.89 lakh

Classic Legends, who are the guys behind the Jawa motorcycles are finally ready to launch the Jawa Perak in the Indian market on November 15th. Yeah this November 15th, 2019. Just in case you are thinking otherwise. I repeat again, Jawa Perak to launch on 15th November 2019, one complete year after it was officially unveiled to us, Indians.

The Jawa Perak takes design inspiration from the original Jawa bobbers which were popular in the 1940s and 50s. There is a long swingarm with a monoshock that exactly what makes it classy. The front headlight design is taken from the Jawa 300 standard. Perak gets complete black treatment with Greish colour sporting yellow highlights on the tank.

Powering the Perak bobber is a bigger 334cc single-cylinder engine which pumps out 30bhp and 31Nm torque. The engine is mated to the same 6-speed gearbox from other Jawas. We can expect a greater performance from the Perak owing to increased power and maybe less weight as the bike misses out on the subframe and lighter looking exhaust end pipe.

The Perak will get only one variant with dual disc and dual-channel ABS unlike the 300 and 42 that also has an option for single-channel ABS with rear drum brake.

The company also confirmed that they are working on to bring higher capacity Jawa and well as other brands like Yezdi and BSA bikes in the near future.
