Benelli had said that TRK 502 price were introductory and even after the hike, ADV is still a steal deal
At launch, which happened on 18th February 2019. The Benelli TRK 502 price was Rs 5 lakh ex-showroom. TRK 502X, on the other hand, was equipped with better off-road capable hardware thus priced at Rs 5.4 lakh ex-showroom.
The company had said that these prices are introductory and will see a hike in the near future. That future has become the present, the TRK 502 price is now hiked by Rs 10,000. The same hike is also given to the TRK 502X. Now the ex-showroom prices od both TRK 502 and TRK 502X is Rs 5.1 lakh and Rs 5.5 lakh ex-showroom.
This TRK 502 price hike will not affect the sales
That said, these Italian beauties are the best affordable mid-segment adventure motorcycles one can buy in India. Speaking of the rivals, Kawasaki Versys 650 is priced at Rs 6.69 lakh and Suzuki V-Strom 650 carries a sticker price of Rs 7.46 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom.
On the lower side, we have Kawasaki Versys X300 which is a 300cc adventure bike priced at Rs 4.69 lakh. BMW G310 GS makes a little more sense at Rs 3.5 lakh ex-showroom but it lacks punch.

Booking of Benelli TRk 502 and 502X was opened for a token amount of Rs 10,000. The bikes received over 150 bookings within a span of just 15 days. I call it a good start. With adventure touring gaining pace in India, the demand for adventure motorcycles is also increasing. More and more manufacturer wants to tap into the huge potential of adventure motorcycles.
TRK 502 price hike shows a good demand for the ADVs
Powering Benelli TRK 502 and 502X is a liquid-cooled, 500cc, parallel twin engine. This powerplant is good enough for 47 bhp and 46 Nm torque which gives ample grunt to the bikes on and off the road. The motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission which tuned in a way to provide smooth performance on any type of terrain.
Being tourer, TRK 502 gets road going tyres with alloy wheels whereas TRK 502X, which is an off-roader, gets dual-purpose tyres with spoke wheels. 502 sports same 17-inch wheels at both ends and 502X have a larger 19-inch wheel at the front.
Next, we have Hero who is going to launch XPulse 200 and XPulse 200T motorcycles in India this year. These bikes will be the most affordable adventure tourer motorcycles in India undercutting Himalayan 400 by a huge margin.
