2018 Harley-Davidson Softail Launched At Rs. 11.99 lakhs

2018 Harley-Davidson Softail: Harley-Davidson has launched the 2018 Softail family of cruisers in India. The range comprises of four models and prices start at Rs 11.99 lakhs for Street Bob moving all the way around Rs 18.99 lakhs for the Heritage Classic (both costs ex-showroom).

The 2018 Softail models include updates into the chassis, suspension, and powertrain together with the new paint jobs. The new engine, which guarantees enhanced soundtrack, more torque, response and a smoother ride powers them. Each of the newest Softail models is powered with the 1545cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, which delivers 144Nm of torque via a six-speed gearbox.

Previously a part of the Dyna scope, the Street Bob, is the entry-level model from the Softail range. It is a stripped down, bobber-style bike, priced at Rs 11.99 lakhs. Targeted at buyers, the Fat Bob gets double disc brakes in the front a fresh upswept exhaust and 43mm inverted front forks.

The Fat Boy is a standard and muscular American cruiser and includes the signature ‘disk wheel’ at the front. It’s priced at Rs 17.49 lakhs. The Heritage Classic is your top-of-the-line model and has a classic styling inspired by the Harley-Davidson models from 1950s. Additionally, it gets touches like a windscreen, cruise control, and rigid saddlebags.

The Street Bob competes against the Triumph Bonneville Bobber along with the Indian Scout Sixty. The Fat Bob competes against Indian Scout the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and the Triumph Thunderbird Storm.
