Single Channel ABS equipped TVS Apache 160 4V ABS is priced from Rs 92,645
TVS, India’s third largest two-wheeler manufacturer has launched the Apache 160 4V ABS variant in the country. The new Apache 4V ABS is equipped with a single-channel ABS for provide necessary and safe braking performance.
Carburetor equipped Apache 160 4V ABS is priced at Rs 92,645 ex-showroom Chennai. This is Rs 6,500 more expensive than the non-abs variant of the motorcycle. Fuel injected variant, however, is priced at Rs 99,645 from previous Rs 93,145 ex-showroom, Chennai.

Apache 160 4V ABS, which is an RTR 200 4V styled motorcycle with a 4-valve engine, has been a very successful model for the company. The sales of 160 4V have been great so far as TVS already sold more than 1 Lakh bikes in the last 6 months. Apache 160 4V ABS is going to further increase the sales for the company.
TVS Apache 160 4V ABS is powered by a 159.7 cc, single cylinder, 4-valve engine. The powerplant develops 16.8 bhp in FI variant and 16.3 bhp in carburetor variant. The torque output is the same at 14.8 Nm for both the variants. The bike has a 5-speed gearbox which helps the bike to hit 60 kmph in 4.8 seconds and achieve 100 kmph mark in 15 seconds. The top speed is rated at 115 kmph.

The 160 cc motorcycle gets a conventional telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. The suspensions are tuned in such a way that one will never question the ride quality of RTR 4V. Braking duties are handled by 270 mm disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear. The ABS is a single channel unit which will only work at the front wheel. One has to take care while braking hard so as not to lock the rear wheel.
Apache 160 4V ABS is still not available in the showrooms but will soon arrive in two-three weeks time. All non-ABS motorcycles will be discontinued post 31st March 2019 as safety norms will get implemented from 1st April 2019.
