Notte’s cousin – Vespa Urban Club is priced at Rs 73,733, Bookings Open

Vespa Urban Club 125 to be launched soon at Rs 73,733 ex-showroom Delhi

The Italian premium scooter maker Vespa is gearing up for the launch of Vespa Urban Club 125cc premium scooter at an ex-showroom price of Rs 73,733. Bookings for the same are now open and you can book one for yourself at any Vespa dealership.

The new 125cc scooter is identical to that of Vespa Notte 125 which is also priced same. The only difference between the two is Vespa Urban Club 125 will be available in three color options including White, Blue, and Yellow whereas Notte (Italian for Night) is available in Matt Black only.

Vespa Urban Club will be similar to this Vespa Notte 125

These scooters are the most affordable offerings from the Italian brand. Urban CLub 125 comes with a standard CBS system to comply with new safety norms.

Powering Vespa Urban Club is the same 125cc 3-valve engine which does duty on every 125cc scooter from the brand. The powerplant makes 9.6 bhp and 9.9 Nm torque. Power transmission is done through a CVT gearbox.

Chassis is steel monocoque which provides enhanced stability. The suspension system comprises of aircraft inspired single sided arm with coil spring and the rear one has a spring with hydraulic damper. Braking department, on the other hand, is handled by drum brakes on both ends. The front gets a 150 mm drum and the rear one has 140 mm drum. Additional safety is provided by CBS which comes as standard.

Vespa Urban Club 125 will have a semi-digital instrument cluster

Vespa Urban Club 125 will have rivalry against TVS Ntorq which is priced at Rs 59,990, Activa 125 with a price tag of Rs 64,500 for Disc brake variant, as well as Suzuki Burgman Street 125 (Rs 69,000).

What I think is Vespa doesn’t have any rival in India as these scooters are a class apart from all other options in the Indian market. Vespas are classic and have a strong heritage behind it but other scooters are just scooters to move you through the traffic.

Akash Vashisth: See, there are a lot of things to look at, but you are one hell of a person when your eyes are pulled towards beauty on two wheels. This guy here is one such animal who loves two wheels more than "Maa ke hath ka Khana." Not yet fully transformed into a seasoned rider but still, there are many things still "under construction." Akash is a writer, loves writing fiction but here at motorcycle diaries, its all about the world on two wheels.
