Special Edition TVS Star City Plus is now available in the country for Rs 54,399 ex-showroom

India’s third largest motorcycle manufacturer has launched TVS Star City Plus Kargil Edition for Rs 54,399 ex-showroom. The motorcycle is launched to pay homage to the soldiers’ spirit which TVS hopes to reside within every Indian citizen.

In this new special edition, mechanically the bike remains the same whereas changes are made cosmetically. TVS Star City Plus Kargil Edition gets a white and green dual color scheme. There are camouflage graphics in white, khaki green, brown and dirty green colors. The motorcycle gets a Proud Kargil emblem on the back side. The graphic design is inspired by the terrain of the region and also from the soldiers who deliver their best in the hostile environment.

The TVS Star City Plus Kargil Edition is powered by the same 110 cc engine. The single-cylinder air-cooled engine develops commuterish 8.3 bhp @7000 rpm and 8.7 bhp @5000 rpm. The power figures are good for the commuter standard. The motor is coupled to a 4-speed gearbox.

With 109 Kg weight, the bike is pretty light and 172 mm ground clearance is spot on for rural areas. A basic front telescopic fork and rear twin shockers do the job of providing comfort over bad roads. Speaking about the instrument cluster, the bike gets a basic analog speedometer coupled with a small digital display providing information about odometer and fuel gauge. The console also gets Eco and Power mode which tell when you are burning more fuel.
