Hero Destini 125 is the next premium scooter from the homegrown two-wheeler brand in India that is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2018. The scooter was displayed as Duet 125 at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo and grabbed everyone’s attention. It could arrive with a price tag of Rs 52,000 (ex-showroom) and it will compete with rivals like Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125, Vespa LX 125 etc.

Hero MotoCorp has been at the pole position in the domestic two-wheeler market for a long time thanks to its range of commuter motorcycles. On the other hand, its erstwhile partner in business Honda rules the scooter segment thanks to the Activa series. Keeping an eye on the huge growth potential of the scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp aims to become the pole position holder in that category and the upcoming Destini 125 could play a key role in that strategy.

Hero Destini 125 will come with a stylish appearance and it will boast several premium features like LED lights, LCD display at the instrument cluster, 10-inch alloy wheels, USB charger etc. The scooter will be available in four different colpour options that are – Noble Red, Chestnut Bronze, Panther Black and Pearl Silver White. It will come with the i3S technology onboard in order to deliver better mileage.

The Hero Destini 125 premium scooter will draw power from a 124.6cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine coupled with a CVT. This engine is capable of churning out 8.70 bhp of peak power at 6,750 rpm and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. For braking duty, it will get drum brakes at both ends, while there would be a front disc brake variant as well.
