Yezdi motorcycles will be launched in India next year, could use Jawa platform

After the Jawa Motorcycles’ reentry in India, now the Classic Legends plans to launch Yezdi and BSA motorcycles in India. As it seems, the Yezdi models could launch here sometime next year and they could use the Jawa platform. So far, this is going to be a big event in the Indian motorcycle industry, as it will mark the comeback of some stunning iconic and classic retro motorcycles.

Initially, Classic Legends plans to locally produce the Yezdi models in India for the export markets. Later at the end of 2019 or in early 2020, the company could start selling these models in the domestic market. However, further details about the Yezdi and BSA models are yet to be disclosed by the Mahindra owned company. We can assume, the BSA and Yezdi models will focus the 500cc and 750cc segment.

Despite being ambitious and producing some interesting bikes, Mahindra couldn’t fare well in the Indian two-wheeler market. Now, with the riconic brands like Jawa, Yezdi and BSA under the Classic Legends’, Mahindra aims to grab a significant amount of market share in the country. With Jawa already garnered immense attention, the BSA and Yezdi too are expected to grab interest of the customers.

Speaking about Jawa, the iconic Czech brand has made a grand comeback in India just a few days ago with two models on offer. A third model was also showcased that will go on sale later. While the Jawa comes with the classic retro charm, the Jawa Forty Two is based on it, but offers a more modern version. The third model is going to be a bobber based on the Jawa Classic.
