Celebration of Ducati’s 90 years of passion: World Ducati Week 2016

The story of this Italian motorcycle manufacturer began in 1926. Three sons: Adriano, Marcello, and Bruno Cavalieri Ducati with their father Antonio Cavalieri Ducati founded Società Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati. In time past, they started the production of vacuum tubes, condensers and few other radio components.

When the market moved toward larger motorcycles, Ducati management decided to respond, making an impression at an early-1952 Milan show, introducing their 65TS cycle and Cruiser (a four-stroke motor scooter.

In 1950, after the sale of more than 200,000 Cucciolos, in collaboration with SIATA, Ducati finally offered its own Cucciolo-based motorcycle. And then with the demand and interest of the buyer moving towards larger motorcycles, Ducati responded by introducing their 65TS cycle and Cruiser making an impression at an early-1952 Milan show. The motorcycle described as the most interesting new machine at the 1952 show. Since then Ducati has produced several styles of motorcycle with classic and intelligent engines and engineering.

Coming up is the 9th edition of the WDW that will give us the perfect opportunity to celebrate Ducati’s 90th anniversary.
