2018 Kawasaki ZX-10R SE: Kawasaki has extended this supersport ZX-10’s family at the 2017 EICMA Bicycle show in Milan, Italy with the Ninja ZX-10R SE’s introduction. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R SE features Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS) developed in cooperation with Showa.

The 2017 World Superbike model becomes the first Kawasaki motorcycle to acquire the digital suspension which utilizes an inertial measurement unit and detectors in the Showa suspension to correct settings in milliseconds depending upon the requirements.

The KECS uses solenoids to alter the damping settings instead of stepper motors. The suspension movement per millisecond is measured by the sensors on the front forks and rear monoshock suspension. The measurement unit relays the data to ECU which decides the best damping settings.

Upgrades on the ZX-10R SE will be the shifter and the wheels in the ZX-10RR.
