UM is planning to launch three different variants of Renegade series of motorcycles, specifically designed for India. The bikes will be priced below 2lakh. The bike was showcased at expo 2015 and was slated at a September released but it got delayed. The wait is over now and they are finally coming to India.
Three new bikes: Renegade Commando, Renegade Classic and Renegade Sport will be launched in February 2016, around the time when 2016 auto expo is scheduled.
All three bikes come loaded with a 300cc single cylinder air-cooled engine that is expected to deliver 18PS of power.
UM’s three bikes will be priced below Rs 2lakh. UM has already signed a 50:50 joint venture with Lohia Auto. As per the reports the manufacturing has begun at Lohia’s existing factory at Kashipur, Uttrakhand.
Later, India will work be the export hub to the South-Asian countries.
So get ready to cruise Renegade style.
